Creation of the Honorary Sculpture commissioned by the Spanish political party, the People's Party, of the face of Don Manuel Fraga Iribarne, one of the fathers of the 1978 Constitution, and founder of Democratic Reform, the basis of the People's Alliance and, in turn, of the current People's Party.

This sculpture aims to capture the undeniable personality of Don Manuel Fraga Iribarne, a Spanish politician dedicated to public life. As a professor of Political Law and Theory of the State and Constitutional Law, he continuously held positions of political and institutional relevance, both during the Franco dictatorship and in the democratic period. He was also a deputy and senator for many years.

The Honorary Sculpture aimed to highlight a gaze full of courage and hope, where one can almost feel the thoughts of this founder, wanting to offer a new future for Spain.

This sculpture is housed in the Manuel Fraga House Museum in Vilalba (Lugo).

These Honorary Sculptures, commissioned by the People's Party, are made of stainless steel and black Marquina marble. This marble was chosen for the irregularities of the white veins, in contrast to the black, veins concentrated to a greater or lesser extent depending on the cut of the stone. In this way, none of the Honorary Sculptures are the same; perhaps the overall design idea is shared, but the effect is different in each of the Sculptures.

As a result of these materials, the aim has been to offer an elegant and sophisticated Honorary Sculpture, where colors and light are played with, highlighting the white veins, as if white halos held the Sculpture in the darkness, with dim light, where this light in turn, is diluted through the gaps between the stainless steel and the stone, and escapes through the gaps of the lines that make up the face of the President in the stainless steel, highlighting the expression of each President in the opacity of the room.

Therefore, stainless steel brings the brilliance of light to its fullest extent, highlighting the symbolism of the divine energy that guides each President. In addition, this material was chosen for its hardness and corrosion resistance, to represent the notoriety of a President.

The viewer sees themselves reflected in the President's face, creating an interesting mirror effect for reflection. Do we always demand things from the person in front of us, but what do we offer in return?

This artistic work aims to convey strength and luminosity, always accentuated by the details of light, on a noble and polished material, a light that, metaphorically speaking from a literary perspective, inscribes a poetic value of the illuminated being who receives it.

These Honorary Sculptures were intended to offer a play of light that illuminates the eyes of the Presidents at certain moments.
