A work of art was created in collaboration with the artist Don Carlos Sansegundo.

This sculptor and painter, after training in Paris with masters such as Henry Moore, Max Ernst or Picasso, traveled to the United States, becoming the first Spanish artist of the Pop Art movement. During his time in America, he exhibited in the best galleries in New York and associated with leading artists of this movement, such as Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol. Warhol was the godfather at his wedding to Ruth Kligman, a famous muse of artists such as Pollock and De Kooning.

This artwork was created in 2004 in Ibiza. The sketches for the illustrations were made using cutouts and collage, determining the final shapes.

The inspiration was based on the Pop Art movement, a movement opposed to abstract expressionism, reuniting life and art.

The main idea was to create a work of art that could showcase different techniques, from painting through its lines, to jewelry making, or illustration, among others, as can be seen in the photo.

This artwork continues to be sold today, proving to be a timeless design with a profound meaning that transcends the concept of art itself. Its forms evoke an artistic movement that resonated deeply with everyone in 1950, bringing light to a century witnessing the worst of wars: the atomic bomb in 1945. Therefore, in every era, we must offer greater support to new artistic movements, which, through their messages, will help us understand a more peaceful and just world.
